Ms Tracy Pereira

After completing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy at Curtin University, Tracy Pereira went on to practice at Sir Charles Gairdner and Royal Perth Hospitals, and in community and rehabilitation centres in Perth and in London, UK, in the fields of rheumatology and orthopaedics, oncology, paediatrics and neurotrauma.

Ms Pereira is currently a Senior Occupational Therapist at Royal Perth Hospital's State Acquired Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit and the Acting Occupational Therapy Campus Co-ordinator at Shenton Park.

During 2007-2009, she was Co-convenor of the Occupational Therapy Neurosciences Special Interest Group.

Ms Pereira received an NRP grant to conduct research during 2011-2012 into the effect of a reconstructive surgical procedure called cranioplasty on the functional performance of individuals who have previously sustained traumatic brain injuries requiring decompressive surgery to alleviate dangerously high pressures in the brain.
